Terms of Use

Effective October 8, 2026

1. License (Apple Standard EULA)

Catch Book is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). The Standard EULA is the agreement between you and the developer of Catch Book for your use of the app. These Terms add details about subscriptions and the information shown in the app. If anything here conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls.

2. Free tier

You can log up to 5 catches without a subscription. Every catch you log counts toward this limit, including catches you later delete. Editing catches, and restoring or merging backups, never count and are never blocked. All other features (viewing, editing, filters, the map, the dashboard, and iCloud backup and restore) are available without a subscription.

3. Catch Book Pro subscription

4. Information only: not for navigation or safety

Weather, tide, water-temperature, moon, and location information in Catch Book is provided for informational and record-keeping purposes only. It may be delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, or from a station far from where you are. Do not use Catch Book for navigation or for decisions about safety, boating, or weather. Always check official sources such as the National Weather Service, NOAA, and the U.S. Coast Guard, and use proper marine charts and equipment.

You are responsible for knowing and following all fishing laws and regulations that apply to you, including licenses, seasons, size and bag limits, and closed areas (for example, those of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission or your local authority). Catch Book doesn’t provide legal or regulatory advice, and nothing in the app means a species, size, place, or time is legal to fish.

5. Third-party data

Weather data is provided by Apple Weather (data sources). Tide and water-temperature data come from NOAA CO-OPS. These services can change or become unavailable at any time, and we are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

6. Your data

You own what you log. Your catches are stored on your device and, if enabled, in your own iCloud account (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping backups; Catch Book’s automatic iCloud backup helps, but we can’t recover data we never receive.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, as described in the Standard EULA, which also limits liability to the extent permitted by law.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date above will change, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
